One of the few Anelia songs I still need to add to my collection. Will do soon! In the meantime you can browse through hundreds of chalga and other Bulgarian music videos here.
I’ve been seeing this film pop up many times and discussed in various places when discussing the differences between Bulgaria and “Europe”. In Bulgaria, people still speak of “Europe” to designate Western Europe. Seems there is still some way to go before they feel part of the Union…
The video is unfortunately of poor quality and does not give credit to Beloslava’s great jazzy-soul voice. “Kudeto si ti” means “where are you?”. For my complete collection of Anelia videos, see my videos section.
This is a live performance of one of her latest hits “Zavinagi”, a duet with Miro. “Zavinagi” means “forever”. For my complete collection of Anelia videos, see my videos section.
Anelia fans rejoice. Yet another music video of one of her performances has been made available on Youtube. For my collection of Anelia videos, see my videos section.
Apart from the modern chalga and pop folk which showcases current traits of Bulgarian music, there is a traditional female voice choir that is playing an important role in making traditional Bulgarian music known to the world. The “Mystère des Voix Bulgares” is the trade name of Bulgaria’s National Radio Female Choir, and their music is both appeasing and magical. I have added 20 new videos of their performances here.
Anelia, the queen of pop folk and Bulgarian chalga, has released a new track recently. We will shortly add it to our collection. You can view our Anelia music video collection here.
